  our beginnings, 

  where we've been, 

  where we're headed... 

We met in graduate school over 40 years ago (!) and soon knew that we not only wanted to get married but also felt called to work together. For many years, we shared music ministry positions - in NJ, GA, and RI - while also partnering in raising our two daughters. A season of working separately followed: David, as a college instructor and accompanist; and Elizabeth, teaching Music and Spanish and directing music programs. During our time in central and northern VA, we repackaged many of the same skills, working together and separately.

Elizabeth had been tutoring online prior to the pandemic, and after returning to the NY metropolitan area where we both grew up, David began an adventure in a new field: administrative work for a non-profit organization. Working in person, remotely, and hybrid over the next four years, he continued remotely for several months after our most recent move to NC. This allowed him to continue honing his skills as a virtual assistant and to utilize his extensive teaching experience for training and onboarding his replacement. 

In this post-pandemic world, we have all come to rely on the convenience of connecting to people and resources from anywhere. By creating DavidnEliz.com, we have pooled our skills and experience into a centralized website for virtual Spanish instruction and Music instruction and services, rooted in our longtime brand of excellence, integrity, and care for people.
